Warrensburg Bike Week's
1st Annual "Adirondack Log Home Run" sponsored by.....





Leaving
the QVN merchant site you will travel the back streets of Warrensburg, through
the historic Riverfront district along the Schroon River to the first stunning
log home. Back North along the historic Schroon and Hudson Rivers to the
quaint Hamlet of Chestertown. The ride then heads East on State Route
8 passing again over the Schroon River, onward and then adjacent to the beautiful
Brant Lake that will be on your left and then up and over Graphite Mountain.
You will pass active beaver huts on Swede and North Ponds on your right
before descending steeply into the town of Hague and the Lake George basin.
Turning right onto State Route 9N you will immediately see the "Queen
of all lakes", Lake George on your left. Proceeding south 1.5 miles
to Split Rock Road that will be on your right, you will then proceed to the
Gastineau Log Home Model.
After you visit this marvelous home, you will ride North on State Route 9N 10
miles, enjoying magnificent views of Lake George on your right arriving in the
Historical town of Ticonderoga. Turning left at the monument you will
proceed to the Country Log Home Model where you can enjoy the views of Lake
Champlain and the Green Mountains of Vermont.
Upon leaving this magnificent home, you will travel West on State Route 74 passing
Eagle Lake and Paradox Lake on your right. When turning left upon State
Route 9, you will be going South into the Town of Schroon Lake. You will
be able to admire the gorgeous Schroon Lake on your left as you travel to the
Hamlet of Adirondack where you will visit the Hilltop Log Home model. After
leaving this beautiful home you will ride South on State Route 9 back to Warrensburg
having traveled approximately 70 miles. WOW! What an optical pleasure
and a wonderful way to relax and spend your time in the Adirondacks during Warrensburg
Bike Week 2010 !!!
